Woah, woah! Put that pen down, babydoll. If you need content support but can’t afford a writer, you’ve got other options. Options that’ll stop you from chasing your tail, banging your head against a wall, or throwing your laptop out of the window in a blind rage. I’ve got you, boo. Here are three alternative, budget-friendly options to try first…

1) Book a power hour consultation

Power hour sessions are pretty common among freelance writers, marketers, and strategists. You’ll be able to get your hands on sweet, sweet advice from a pro for a set fee.

Note down all your burning questions (like how to build a content plan or get the most from your content) and use the insights to tackle your content marketing without squandering your limited time. On a completely unrelated note, you’ll find a link to my Witching Hour here. 😜

2) Buy a content strategy

Without a solid strategy, your content is as useful as a banana in a sword fight. So hire a writer to whip up a branded, search-optimised strategy across all your platforms, complete with deadlines, titles, and keywords.

If they're anything like me, your writer, strategist, or marketer will give you a lovely spreadsheet with everything in it (colour-coded, obv). You'll be able to reuse that strategy template yourself in the future. It's the gift that keeps on giving, babe.

3) Buy blog ideation

Book a few hours with your chosen writer and ask them to create a chonky list of blog topics that align with your campaigns, customers, brand, keywords, and seasonal events. Writing your own stuff is easier when you've got somewhere to start, so pay a pro to do the strategy and the legwork for you!

It doesn’t have to be all or nothing, ya know. You’ve got options! Drop me a DM if you want to take me up on any of the options above — if I can't help you, I'll know a writer who can 🤘 💋
