The opportunity to work with Maritza Buelvas is one of the best things to come out of my 6-year stint on YouTube.

She’s a long-time subscriber who caught my YouTube Short advertising unexpected availability. I posted it at a time when she was looking for help. The stars aligned. Et Voilá!

Amélie Boudoir is a French-inspired modest boudoir photography business based in Chicago and run by the lovely Maritza.

Although I didn’t get the chance to write her website copy (she did that herself and damn did she do a good job!) I was lucky enough to be hired to help her get the website’s SEO in order.

I scanned her site using my go-to SEO software, and pulled my findings into a report, which I organised and punctuated with my own recommendations, plus a ton of resources she could use to fix the problems and learn more about SEO going forward.

Maritza jumped on the recommendations straight away and we managed to get her on-page SEO score up to 96 in a matter of weeks, eliminating the errors that had been holding her back. Ooooh la la!

I followed up the SEO audit with a detailed content strategy to help Maritza increase her organic traffic and own her target keywords. The strategy was designed to help resolve roadblocks that might be stopping potential clients (the ‘Amélie Girl’) from booking a photoshoot. We also used it as a tool to share Maritza’s work-based and psychology-based insights on female sexual empowerment, ageism, and body positivity.

Needless to say, I had an absolute blast working with Maritza on this. The ideas were bubbling out of me during every call!
