Sometimes in freelance life, you’re hit with moments of pure cosmic magic. My relationship with Witchology Magazine is one of those.

In December 2022, editor-in-chief Louisa Dean reached out to ask if I’d like to write a feature around an interview with Wardruna’s Lindy-Fay Hella. Reader, I damn near bit her hand off.

Witchology is an occult lifestyle magazine by witches, for witches. Basically everything I love, bundled into one publication.

Almost one year after joining the magazine’s permanent writing staff, Louisa asked if I’d accept the role of music editor. The answer, of course, was yes.

I select and approach appropriate talent to feature in the magazine, arrange and conduct interviews, and write up the features. I’m also involved in the planning and running of the magazine along with the creative director and editor in chief. And yes…I still pinch myself.
