Last month’s card
Before we dive into our focus for April, let’s take a minute to reflect on last month’s card, the ten of cups. We talked about joy, contentment and love — did you incorporate it into your daily working life and, if so, how did it go?
The card was a prompt to take a step back and appreciate your progress. It encouraged you to focus on relationships and asked you to trust your intuition more.
Here are my experiences…
March was a difficult month for me and, I imagine, most women. The discourse around #ReclaimTheNight (and the reaction to it) was hurtful for so many reasons — reasons I won’t discuss here.
Rather than letting it sink me, I turned my attention to the voices in my direct circle. So many of my friends and colleagues were helping to support women and lift their voices. March’s card gave me a direct prompt to shift my focus to those loving, supportive relationships and to look for ways to return that same energy.

The nine of wands
As you can see from the illustration on the card, the nine of wands is a test of your breaking point. Or twig-snapping point, if you will.
This card pops up whenever you need reminding of your own amazing resilience.
It’s likely you’ll run into a few challenges this month, but the nine of wands is a sure sign you’ll bounce back stronger.
The first possible interpretation concerns boundaries — guarding them and setting them. This is a time to clearly communicate what your goals and needs are when working with clients. You also might need to set boundaries regarding time spent on social media or with people who don’t make you feel great. Protect yourself in April, mate 🙂
Did you kick off an initiative or strategy recently? You’re in luck, my guy! The nine of wands is a sign that you’ll reach your goal. All you need is a little more work and one final push. Similarly, if you’re nearing the end of a big project, this card encourages you to push right through to the end — you’re almost there, champ!
Unfortunately, this card could also be a sign that someone is going to stand in the way of your plans this month. If you’re trying to achieve something new or extraordinary, know that you have support behind you. Haters gonna hate, my guy. Don’t let it put you off!
So what’s the main focus for April? Resilience and courage! You may run into a few stumbling blocks or feel like the weight of the world is on top of you but the goal for the next 28 days is to dig deep and hold your head high.
